A Core Principal of Successful Partnerships for Community Resiliency

Partnerships for Community Resiliency is grounded in the belief that working together more good can be done for more people within the community.  In order to establish the basis for collaboration, we must first identify individual organizational assets/liabilities, current initiatives and needs/resources.  By networking and learning about resources in the community we can build the foundation for sharing resourcs, developing joint goals and objectives and learning from each other.  Only then can real, sustainable community change take place and community resiliency exist.  Solutions must be arrived at by clearly identifying problem areas and root cause(s) and then carefully applying sustainable preventative programs that have been incubated and scaled.  In order to do that, partnerships must be grounded in data-driven decision-making and partnering agencies must find the common ground.

To create a resilient environment, a Community must become aware of its assets in the Seven Areas of Wellbeing then promote and celebrate these resources as a means of fostering a Community Spirit of pride among its residents, businesses, and organizations that will result in an active and supportive atmosphere.
