One of our main over arching purposes is to provide visual information to help drive intelligent decision making. We pull information together in an easy to understand fashion using various methodologies and tools that allow a quick visual representation of assets and liabilities in a specific geographic area categorized by the seven key areas of wellbeing and individual and community resilient factors. Following are our products and services:

Educate organizations, residents and businesses regarding assets, liabilities, wellbeing and resiliency.

  • Workshops: Using Geospatial Technology To Guide Program Design and Evaluation; Multiple Revenue Streams; Formalizing Action Teams; Collective Leadership Collaborative Series; Comprehensive Community Profiling; Resource Development; The Art of Strategic Partnering and Web Networking; and Community Based Participatory Research & Evaluation; Measuring Team Impact (include but not limited to)
  • Coaching:  Mentoring agencies and youth through collaborations, service projects, and internships
  • Focus Groups to gain feedback and encourage participation
  • Get Connected Newsletter Cross agency publication to highlight activities and accomplishments, share knowledge, best practices, and opportunities for participation

Research root causes and identify best practices and existing organizations/programs/services

  • Process begins with collecting, organizing and analyzing existing data
  • Identifying data not obtainable, use assessments & surveys—Comprehensive School Review; Community Assessment Survey; and Organizational Capacity & Resiliency Assessment
  • Community Canvassing & GeoMapping (Data collection and analysis to determine root causes and/or establish baselines represented through Geospatial Mapping and Scientific Visualization—2D and 3D renditions) to actively introduce stakeholders to the local community
  • Middle/High School Youth Resilience Survey to collect data not readily available
  • Elementary Child Resilience Survey to collect data not readily available
  • Out of the research comes products, we build the Comprehensive Community Profile and the Partnerships for Community Resiliency online information management portal

Collaborate with nonprofits, faithbased, government agencies, and schools to build partnerships that advance resiliency:

  • Community Council of  Wellbeing to guide and monitor capacity building, programs and evaluation
  • Action Teams to ensure that individual and community resilient factors are present in strategies and activities
  • Promoting Community Assets to facilitate cross agency educational and social events
  • Communicate frequently and purposefully with all stakeholders via timely-two-way methods

Evaluate effectiveness and empower organizations and residents to take ownership of community wellbeing:

  • Community Based Participatory Research Model is a method of developing the strategies and infrastructure in collaboration with the community by involving stakeholders from start to finish in the design and then coaching and mentoring them to be able to take ownership of the partnership building and evaluation to establish sustainability
  • Resiliency Factor Analysis identifies strengths, challenges, and opportunties for schools and organizations to build strong partnerships and alliances

Garner resources to create partnerships that bring about systemic change

  • Sustainable resource acquisition strategies-grants, fundraisers, fee-for-services
  • Internships
  • Small Things Make a Big Difference Service Projects—utilizes items donations and volunteers to complete capacity building priorities for PCR members

Integrate strategies through emerging technology, information management, and organizational development

  • Emerging Technologies:  Web-based technologies, social networking, mini-mobiles, Geospatial Positioning Systems (GPS), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), Intellipens
  • Information management:  Partnerships for Community Resiliency (PCR) online portal—calendars, forums, registration, project management, data repository, document exchange
  • Organizational Development:  Strategic Planning, Project Management, Leadership Development
  • Program Design: including Career Academy Design and Implementation. Focuses on integrating both formal and informal learning environments
