The first step in forming Partnerships for Community ResiliencySM is to collect existing data, to in turn identify data not obtainable through traditional channels, and then conduct a Community Assessment Survey (CAS) and engage in Community Canvassing. This strategy forms the basis to evaluate a Community’s Wellbeing based on an analysis of key indicators and of the resources available to support the health of its members in seven basic areas: intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, economical, physical, and environmental. The data collected will be presented as a Comprehensive Community Profile (CCP) that depicts the data geospatially through mapping as well as various other data tools as necessary. All data representations will be utilized to denote assets, resource deficits, and spatial inequalities. Through workshops and onsite coaching, we will communicate how to use this information to make decisions regarding effective strategies for change and resource development, as well as how to evaluate identified measures of change over time.
